Recent polling commissioned by the Infrastructure Alliance of Ohio shows an opportunity for data centers in the state – when they are built the right way.

An overwhelming majority of Ohio voters (81%) support new state requirements that would make data centers pay the full cost of their own electric infrastructure, use water-saving technology, report electricity and water use to regulators, follow noise-limiting standards, and end special sales and local tax exemptions on equipment.

Support is bipartisan, with strong backing from Republicans (81%), independents (72%), and Democrats (84%).

A majority of likely Ohio voters (60%) say they would support a data center near their community if transparent accountability requirements are in place and companies commit to meaningful benefits for local families.
